Final workshop in Georgian Sign Language was held at No.203 Tbilisi Deaf and Hard of hearing Children School. Seminar was initiated within the USAID supported project “Supporting Equal Opportunities for People with Disabilities” and attended by Deputy Minister of Education and Science Irine Kurdadze.
The workshop was a conclusive event where the importance of Georgian Sign Language for the teachers of deaf and hard of hearing children’s schools were discussed. Workshop was attended by the teachers of Tbilisi No.203 and Kutaisi No.45 special schools for deaf and hard of hearing children, who successfully finished 3 month intensive training course in basic Georgian Sign Language. During the workshop successful candidates were awarded with certificates of completion.
The ceremony was attended by the representatives of Deaf Union of Georgia, USAID and Save the Children.
