Tbilisi #151 public school is preparing for the new academic year
By the new academic year, almost 1200 students of Tbilisi #151 public school will have renovated gym with the modern facilities. Renovation has been done with the school halls, conference room, and the library. For the students with the special needs has been built the universally designed pavements, and the adapted gym.

Industrial innovation laboratories will be arranged in community colleges (FABLAB)
The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia within the cooperation with Georgia’s Innovation and Technology Agency of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia is planning to establish Industrial Innovation laboratories (FABLAB) throughout the community colleges. Another workshop was held on this topic.

Preparation for the new academic year
The preparation for the new academic year is in its active phase. In most of the public schools infrastructural projects are underway. Basically, current guidance books sorting is completed and along with the new academic year all pupils here as well as in other public schools will receive a full package of textbooks.

First-graders registration s additional deadlines announced
The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia determined deadlines for First-graders registration from April 23, 2015 to July 11, 2015 for 2015-2016 academic years. The registration was divided in 3 stages and nowadays 46600 first-graders are registered in public and private schools of Tbilisi.

In Isani-Samgori district are being built a new school designed for 1000 students
103th school in numerous Metromsheni settlement is being built. The Tbilisi city hall is building a new school designed for 1000 students instead of the demolished old one. The processing of the primary subject standards is completed

Non-Georgian language speaker students in Summer School
The Ministry of Education implements various projects for citizens of different nationalities of Georgia in order to help them to integrate in social life. They include the "Multicultural Summer School for ethnic minorities", where non-Georgian speaker pupils learn Georgian language, implement joint projects, get acquainted with the countries history, culture and for a few days live together.

The members of the Georgian informatics team (4 players) from the 27th International Informatics Olympiad (IOI 2015 Almaty, Kazakhstan July 26-August 2) returned with 4 medals. All four participants won a bronze medal.

Tbilisi State University (TSU) 2015 Graduation
A 2015 bachelor’s graduation ceremony has been held at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. Around 3000 students degreed bachelor’s department at STU in 2014-2015. Among them there are graduates of Philosophy and Educational Sciences Faculty which was founded in 2014. The faculty has celebrated its first graduation this year.

Yet another international success of Georgian pupils
Members of Georgian national team in mathematics (6 participants) have returned from 56th International Mathematics Olympiad 2015 (Thailand, Chiang Mai) with 4 medals and 1 diploma. Zaur Meshveliani (N199 Komarov Public School in physics and mathematics) has won silver medal. It should be noted that in previous Olympiad he also was awarded with silver medal.
