Millennium Innovation Contest winning team "Solar" will travel to visit NASA Headquarters
On February 12, 2016 Millennium Challenge Fund, held the final stage of the Millennium Innovation Competition. Ten contestant teams participated in the finals, which consisted of 34 students.

The renewed funicular railway was opened in Kokhta mountain, Bakuriani
After the 8 year pause, the Kokhta rope-way was firstly set in motion. The length of kokhta route way is 3 kilometre and 100 metre. This is the uncial rope-way in Caucasus with the halfway station, that gives opportunity to professional skiers to ski in the upper route and beginner skiers to the lower route.

Unprecedented „International Week of Science and Innovations “ has begun
For the first time in Georgia and in Caucasus region, „International Week of Science and Innovations“has been opened.  The date of the week is symbolic. It opens on November 10, International Day of Science and ends on November 17, International Students  Day.

Strengthening of civic education in public schools
Final conference of the European Union co-funded project “Civic Education for Democratic Citizenship" was held. School has been rehabilitated in Gari village, Oni district
Improvement of the school infrastructure remains prirority for the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and it continues in permanent regime. Full rehabilitiation has been completed of school in Gari village of Oni municipality. Today, the Deputy Minister Lia Gigauri visited the village and personally inspected the conducted rehabilitation works.
