A process of authorization of the private schools begins and the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Dimitri Shashkini continues his visits to the private schools.  This time, Minister visited “European School” and personally informed the school staff about the conditions of the authorization. He also got familiar with the learning process and received information on the activities undertaken by the school in order to enhance teachers’ professional development and upgrade a learning quality.

“European School” was founded in 2007. The school is staffed with qualified teachers – out of them 12- are certified, 21- are the holders of PHD degree, 7- are professors, 19- are the authors or coauthors of the textbooks ;  15- are the trainers;  6 teachers have taken up CELTA courses that qualifies them to teach English abroad.

“Laboratory of Learning Innovative Methods” also operates in school, where recommendations on learning systems are worked out with the appliance of the modern methods and technologies.  The school is regularly supplied with modern technologies, learning programs and materials are also being continually updated, ICT technologies are incorporated in teaching and learning of every subject.

The schoolchildren participate in international as well as the school Olympiads organized by the Ministry, they accomplish success in these contests.  Successful schoolchildren are offered with IB international baccalaureate programs. Students who complete their studies with honors are granted the stipends; some schoolchildren are automatically enrolled in the second course at certain faculties.
