The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Dimitri Shashkini, introduced to Resource Officers the Georgian Government’s ten-section educational plan. The Minister also talked to the audience about current reforms of the education system. 

During the meeting with Resource Officers, the Minister underlined the importance of the Safe School Concept and talked about the role of Resource Officers in its implementation.

By the announcement of the Minister, after Resource Officers commenced their activities at schools, the situation has improved significantly: violence at schools has decreased, fewer schoolchildren are coming late (80% decrease); the figures of skipping the classes were dropped by 75%.  There is also a decrease (80%) in rivalry among the schoolchildren.

The Minister assured the Resource Officers that the Ministry will continue to support the professional development of Resource Officers in the future.
