The Minister, Dimitri Shashkini met the school principals and teachers in Zestaponi. Mr. Dimitri Shashkini informed them on the new developments in education system. Unified national, teacher certification exams and renovation of school infrastructure were especially focused. The results of the high school leaving exams were also summarized.
As a part of the meeting, the Minister also answered the teachers’ questions.
There are 31 public and 3 private schools in Zestaponi. Out of 1000 teachers- 71 are certified, 5 teachers get 1000 GEL as a monthly salary. Up to 900 teachers have been registered for the teacher certification exams.
