A conference “Role of Private Sector in Vocational Education” was organized under the initiative of the Ministry of Education and Science and Vocational College “Spektri”. The Conference was opened by First Deputy Minister of Education and Science Ketevan Natriashvili. 

Exhibition and sale of students’ works was also held as a part of the event. The amount of money will be used for charity purposes.

The goal of the conference was to discuss priorities and needs in the field of vocational education, the importance of private sector involvement in vocational education and mutual benefits.

Annual report of Vocational Education Development Department, future plans and major directions for development were also presented on the Conference.

The Conference was organized with the support of GIZ and partner companies Knauf, Caparol and Heidelberg Cement.

Representatives of educational institutions, international and local organizations,  about 50 representatives of large-scale businesses and social partners attended the Conference.
