Representatives of Italian company CINECA, invited by The National Science library, have arrived in Tbilisi. The creators of information portal met the Deputy Minister Giorgi Sharvashidze.

Information portal is consisted of scientists’ register, their ‘’profiles’’, lists of universities, projects, grants, electronic archives of scientific works and more. This system has already been installed on the library server and started inputting the data of the scientists as a sample. A complete information about Georgian scientists will be placed on the system, which will promote to increase visibility for their foreign partners.

The main purpose of Italian specialists’ visit is to specify some details concerning the development and management of the mentioned system, as well as to co-operate details about complete implementation of it in Georgia. In 2016, it is planned to implement anti plagiarism program on this system.

CINECA is Italian consortium. It is governed by a Board of Directors, which consists of member university rectors or their deputies, National Research Council (CNR) and education, university and Research Ministry (MIUR) representatives.

CENECA’s function is to support research activities and the scientific community through super-computers and computer programs. Today, CINECA is a bridge of high technologies among the academic community, researchers, industrial and public organizations worldwide.
