Vice Prime Minister of Georgia, Minister of Education and Science Aleksandre Jejelava and Magda Magradze, Director of “Millennium Challenge Account- Georgia” visited today the Aviation University Study Building, Telavi Training and Flight Base and Technical Service Training Center of University located at Tbilisi International Airport.
Within the framework of Millennium Challenge Account project "Vocational Education for Economic Development", three new module programs will be launched from the new academic year at the Georgian Aviation University, developed in line with the requirements of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). The new programs fully respond to international standards and will allow graduates to work in Georgian and international airlines, airports, aviation technical services enterprises and aviation factories.
Within the framework of the project, new technique shall be added to modern study material and technical base of the University, also with the help of the Ministry of Education and Science, the Aviation University has its own hangar-shed in the Tbilisi International Airport, where Boeing-737 was placed for technical service training base and practical training, which is also owned by the University and is a unique opportunity for future pilots to take practical training in several directions, which will fully satisfy the requirements of the International Fleet Convention.
