The Minister of Education and Science held a meeting with up to 70 teachers of Akhaltsikhe public schools in public school №1 in Akhaltsikhe. Within the scope of the introductory meeting, the minister informed the teachers about the future plans. Dimitri Shashkin also got familiar with the problems existing in the education system of multiethnic Samtskhe-Javakheti region and listened to the teachers’ positions on how to solve these problems.

The health insurance voucher program for the teachers was extensively discussed during the meeting, the minister highlighted that the teachers are free in selecting the provider companies.

The similar meetings will be held in the future as they help the minister to assess the ongoing reforms and to identify the new ways of implementing them with a close cooperation of the teachers.
