Georgia joined the European Network of Memory and Solidarity as an observer and became the fourth observer country along with Albania, Austria and the Czech Republic. The decision was made on August 1 by the Network Board.

Within the framework of the complex education reform, in 2020, the entrants will pass the Unified National Exams with a brand new model. The new model implies, on the one hand, reducing the number of exams from 4 compulsory exams to 3 exams, and on the other hand, better assessing students' readiness for a particular program. The subject exam will test not only the knowledge of the actual material, but also important skills such as critical thinking, information processing, assessment, logical and argumentative reasoning.
