The First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia - Ketevan Natriashvili and the Ambassador of the European Union to Georgia - Janos Herman, opened a concluding event regarding the results of the grant projects, implemented in the fields of employment and vocational education development.
The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Mikheil Chkhenkeli held a meeting with the Ambassador of Estonia to Georgia - Kai Kaarelson.
First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia - Ketevan Natriashvili together with Elguja Meladze, - the President of the Association of Employers opened an international conference - "Experience in Vocational Education".
In accordance with the national curriculum alteration, changes were made to the hourly grid at the basic level of the Georgian and non-Georgian schools. Namely, a new subject was added, an independent block of elective subjects, teaching of civil education and mathematics has been enhanced, in conjunction with changing the overall format for the teaching of natural sciences.
The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia – Mikheil Chkhenkeli, met with the participants of "Javakheti Student Expedition" at Tbilisi State University. During the meeting, the students talked about their expedition experience and the importance of such projects, and they emphasized the special role Mikheil Chkhenkeli had in organizing the event.
In order to develop student labor skills, the vocational college - "Icarus", held a competition in various fields, including, cooking, baking and service needs. There were 32 students from 11 schools participating in the competition.
The Inclusive Education Development Division of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, in collaboration with the "Georgian Association of Social Workers” (GASW), supported by the Czech Non-governmental Organization -PIN, has implemented a project - "Supporting Psycho-Social Support System at Schools" and held a report presentation.
The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, has initiated the submission of applications/projects within the scope of “International Educational Olympiad Subprogram”, under the “Successful Students Promotional Program”.
