The 27th Conference of the National Association of School Resource Officers “NASRO” of the United States was held on the subject of Safe School in the capital of USA, Washington, where the Resource Officers of Educational Institution of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia went in the framework of official invitation.
Within the framework of joint study program of Shota Rustaveli Science Foundation and Oxford University "Georgian Studies Program", two Georgian scientists from Ilia University who won Grant Contest- Konstantine Eristavi and Beka Kobakhidze will go to Great Britain for 12-month study mission.
Within the framework of the Georgian Public Administration Reform, envisaged by the Agreement between Georgia and the European Union, in the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, with the help of EU experts, works are being held on the improvement of the planning and implementation of the strategic policy of education and science. The experts are in Georgia at this moment and they are holding meetings.
The next meeting of the Rector's Council was held in Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. The members of the Georgian team of pupils returned with medals from the 24th Informatics Olympiad of Central European Countries (CEOI), which was held in the capital of Slovenia, Ljubljana.
The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia is launching a new project, which envisages creation of children’s cognitive animated series. Useful messages around various topics will be released in the series. This novelty will promote the development of social skills, civic self-consciousness and awareness raising issues such as healthy lifestyle, environmental protection, children’s rights (e.g. right to education, inclusive education), strengthening of interest towards study, durability and friendship.
At the meeting held at the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, in which NGOs and international organizations, the Public Defender's Office of Child Protection took part, the reform of N15 boarding school of Samtredia was discussed. N15 School of Samtredia performs appropriate programs for pupils with anti-social behavior during the specified period.
One gold, two silver and three bronze medals - these are results of team of six persons, which came from 58th International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO 2017), which was held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. These results are unprecedented in the history of education of our country.
The working meeting was held with the participation of Deputy Minister of Education and Science, Lia Gigauri within the framework of implementation of National Model Strategy of "Second Chance Education".
