Minister of Education and Science of Georgia visited the public schools of villages Vardisubani and Ikalto. Aleksandre Jejelava got acquainted with the course of the educational process and met with the school representatives.
Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Aleksandre Jejelava visited the “Kvevri school-workshop” of Ikalto and Ikalto Academy by invitation of Metropolite of Alaverdi Davit. “Kvevri school-workshop” founded by the initiative of the Metropolite aims to restore and retain traditional and ancient methods of production of pitcher (Kvevri), as well as development of historical-cultural and tourist-educational potential of village Ikalto.

At the initiative of Aleksandre Jejelava, the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia has begun to listen to the parents of the pupils and solve the problematic issues together with them for the first time. The first meeting was held in the working format with the parents, where they were able to talk about both positive and problematic issues of the school life, to express their opinions and to receive information on challenges facing general education and planned innovation.

Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Aleksandre Jejelava continues meetings with the representatives of the diplomatic corps. This time, the Minister hosted the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Latvia to Georgia Ianis Zlamet.
Extensive rehabilitation works were carried out at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University – all five floors of the second building, the building of the technological faculty, training and research areas were completely renovated and equipped, new heating system was installed, the façade was completely rehabilitated (1st and 2nd buildings), technical-material base was modified. The university dental clinic “BSU Dent”, equipped with the latest modern equipment was opened. Free working spaces, information technology office, examination center, industrial innovation lab were organized for the students, besides zoology and mineralogy cabinets, photo and video studio, playground and yard were modified.
Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Lia Gigauri hosted the Greek delegation, headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece Terence Nicolaos Quick.
Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Aleksandre Jejelava and Minister of Education, Culture and Sport of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara Inga Shamilishvili visited Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. Aleksandre Jejelava talked about the topical issues of higher education and science at the meeting held with professors and teachers. The first official of the Ministry emphasized the importance of development of joint international educational programs, changing the rule of funding of higher education, achievements of Georgian scientists and vocational programs. The meeting was held in the mode of dialogue and the Minister answered the questions asked by the academic staff of the University.
Subsequent meeting with the members of the board of directors of public and private schools was held in Tbilisi Public School №175. The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Aleksandre Jejelava opened the meeting and introduced a new initiative of the Government to the members of the Board, which promotes and supports healthy lifestyle. Then the members of the Board presented the issues under the agenda and discussed each of them and the ways of their solution.
For the first time in Georgia, British “Oxford Brooks University” launches the bachelor’s program - Business Administration and Finance, together with the University of Business and Technology (UBT).
