To honor this day, the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs together with the Ministry of Justice and Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Science presented a report of child care in Georgia.

Based on the fairytale created by Frank Baum – “The Wizard of Oz" a musical staged by the students of Chiatura N1 public school. The English musical, which has been staged for many years on Broadway, was prepared with the help of The Peace Corps volunteers.

Within the scope of EU Research and Innovation Programme "Horizon 2020", an informative day and seminar was held for the Georgian scientists and the project’s National Contact Points (NPC) at “Holiday Inn Tbilisi”. The seminar was opened by the First Deputy Minister – Ms. Ketevan Natriashvili.

The implementation of professional orientation and career planning pilot project has initiated since November 2013. The project is implemented by the department of professional orientation and career planning for Mandatory Guard Service of Ministry of Education and Science.

Regarding the events happening at Tbilisi State University, the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia states, that there were meetings held regularly with the students, and as a result a joint agreement has been worked out regarding the principal changes, which will be reflected in the legislative initiative.

The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia –Ms. Tamar Sanikidze awarded the winners of the school competition. The works of the winners will be stored in a so-called “Time Capsule” on May 26, due to the 25th anniversary of independence, and will be opened in 25 years.

The final stage of “Etaloni – 2016” - the largest educational project with a 10-year experience was held today. The project was attended by the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia – Ms. Tamar Sanikidze, the Deputy Minister – Ms. Lia Gigauri, Tbilisi Mayor – Mr. David Narmania, and the representatives of legislative and diplomatic corps.
