Representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science are getting acquainted with preparation process for the new academic year in the region. This time, several schools of Telavi were visited by the first deputy minister-Qetevan Natriashvili and the deputy minister-Lia Gigauri in order to get introduced the textbooks for the pupils to be transferred.

By the new academic year, almost 1200 students of Tbilisi #151 public school will have renovated gym with the modern facilities. Renovation has been done with the school halls, conference room, and the library. For the students with the special needs has been built the universally designed pavements, and the adapted gym.

The first deputy minister and the deputy minister of the ministry of education and science of Georgia- Qetevan Natriashvili and Lia Gigauri held a meeting with the school principals and Resource managers of the public schools of Kakheti region.

The students of the # 18 public school will have a gym with modern facilities. At this stage the rehabilitating works are being done. The gym will satisfy the students for the special needs with adapted bathrooms and dressing rooms.

The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia within the cooperation with Georgia’s Innovation and Technology Agency of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia is planning to establish Industrial Innovation laboratories (FABLAB) throughout the community colleges. Another workshop was held on this topic.

The preparation for the new academic year is in its active phase. In most of the public schools infrastructural projects are underway. Basically, current guidance books sorting is completed and along with the new academic year all pupils here as well as in other public schools will receive a full package of textbooks.

The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia determined deadlines for First-graders registration from April 23, 2015 to July 11, 2015 for 2015-2016 academic years. The registration was divided in 3 stages and nowadays 46600 first-graders are registered in public and private schools of Tbilisi.

The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia- Tamar Sanikidze got introduced with the ongoing infrastructural projects in the community college “Speqtri”. Among the several important projects are rehabilitation of the campus, training center and hotel.

103th school in numerous Metromsheni settlement is being built. The Tbilisi city hall is building a new school designed for 1000 students instead of the demolished old one. The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Tamar Sanikidze along with Educational Scientific infrastructure Agency got introduced the construction process.

All the Georgian contestant teams of World Skills- international competition have successfully completed the task and they continue the competition to the next round. The tour is still being very tense, we wish good luck to the Georgian team.

As it is known, a national curriculum revision process is underway. The new curriculum will start from the 2016-2017 academic year. The Department of National Curriculum of the Ministry of Education and Science has completed working about primary education (I-VI classes) subject standards.

The winners of the Competition – World Skills Georgia, students of professional colleges, are attending now the International Vocational Skills Competition in Brazil. World Skills-s 43rd international tournament held in the city of San Paulo on August 11-16, 2015.
