The Agency of Educational and
Scientific Infrastructure Development under the Ministry of Education and
Science of Georgia undertakes construction of a new school in Samtskhe-
Javakheti region. First Deputy Minister Koka Sepherteladze observed the ongoing
construction works of Akhalkalaki Public School №3 on site.
“Georgia Educational Alliance”
organized a meeting with a participation of school community. Participants
discussed and assessed general education reforms of 2010-2011 academic year. Minister of Education and Science of Georgia
Dimitri Shashkini attended the event.
The Agency of Educational and
Scientific Infrastructure Development under the Ministry of Education and
Science of Georgia undertakes rehabilitation of the secondary schools
throughout Georgia, the agency also constructs new schools - one of them is
Melaani public school in Gurjaani.
Deputy Minister of Education and Science Irine Kurdadze and
Deputy Gamgebeli of Gori Zurab Khorguashvili awarded 50 successful students
with golden medals at Gori Public School №7 in the frame of the Supporting
Gifted and Talented Youth Programme.
Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Dimitri Shashkini and Director of National Center for Teacher Professional Development Ghia Mamulashvili awarded the best 12 teacher trainers with special prizes and certificates.
Office of Resource Officers of Educational Institutions under the Ministry met media representatives. A two day seminar was held in Adjara and up to 20 representatives from TV, Radio and Print media participated in it.
Native English Speaker Teacherscontinue to arrive within the frame of
the educational program “Teach and Learn with Georgia”. Today, a new group of teachers arrived from 15
different counties in Tbilisi.
Student campus and hotel of
Kobuleti Professional College “Akhali Talga” are being constructed with the financial
support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia. Minister of
Education and Science Dimitri Shashkini got familiar with construction works.
Minister of Education
and Science of Georgia Dimitri Shashkini attended a process of registration of
the students for the Graduate Record Examinations at Batumi Shota Rustaveli
State University and observed the proceeding of the exam.
A two day scientific conference was dedicated to learning of Georgian
Language. The conference was organized by Iv. Javakhishvili Tbilisi
State University and Minister of Education and Science of Georgia
Dimitri Shashkini participated in it.
Ministry of Education and Science
of Georgia and Agency for Educational and Scientific Infrastructure Development
under Ministry is constructing a new school in the village of Kvabgha,
Chokhatauri. From the next year, the schoolchildren will study in a new, modern
school.
Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia reiterates that higher
educational institutions are independent legal entities. According to the Paragraph 1 of the Article 2
of the Law of Georgia on Legal Entity of Public Law, they carry out educational
and scientific activities independently and manage their own budget themselves.
Couple of weeks is left till
the end of the mobility process at general educational institutions of Georgia.
First Deputy Minister of Education and Science Koka Sepherteladze held a
briefing on this issue and informed the audience on the details of the mobility
process.
According to the decree of the
Georgian government, MA studies of the most successful 50 displaced persons
will be funded with 2 250 GEL under social assistance program for 2011-2012
academic year. Overall, 112 500 GEL
has been allocated by the Georgian government for students’ social assistance
program.
Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Dimitri Shashkini and director
of National Curriculum and Assessment Centre Natia Jokhadze familiarized with
the process of National Curriculum (2011-2016) implementation trainings at the
Bazaleti Lake Complex.
