By the assignment of the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia
Dimitri Shashkini, Ministry’s General Inspection starts to inspect
administration of those schools that performed at low level in the
school leaving examinations.
Minister of Education and Science
of Georgia Dimitri Shashkini attended a presentation of IT Technological Park at
the Georgia Technical University. Within the scope of the event, the goals and
activities of the IT Technological Park was discussed and presentation of the
joint project of this technological park and Georgia Technical University’s
Student’s Self-Government Body “Stunet” was held.
School Resource Officers and representatives of the
company “Sweet Country” visited the Infants Boarding School and gave presents
and sweets to more than 200 infants.
Tbilisi School Resource Officers and best schoolchildren of the 2011 academic year visited the Occupation Museum. In the scope of the event, the schoolchildren had an opportunity to get familiarized with the documents and photo and video materials on Russian Occupation (1921-1990).
Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia organized a
seminar “Exchange of Practice among the Professional Education Institutions” at
the professional college “Aisi”. The directors and other representatives of all
professional colleges as well as successful students in Georgia participated in
the event.

attended a presentation of the joint projects implemented by the Regional
Center for Research and Promotion of Constitutionalism and GIZ.
Successful Georgian scientists working abroad will get involved in
implementing of the doctoral programs at Georgian higher educational
institutions. Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation under the
Ministry announces a state grant competition for Doctoral Programs
Co-advisors.
Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Dimitri Shashkini pays an
official visit to Azerbaijan. Within the scope of the visit, Minister
met Misir Mardanov , Minister of Education of the Republic of
Azerbaijan.

Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia has finished the process of
new textbooks evaluation for grades 1st to 6th. The First Deputy
Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Koka Sepherteladze and
Director of National Curriculum and Assessment Center Natia Jokhadze
summed up the results of the contest.
