Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Dimitri Shashkini and the
Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports of Georgia Lado Vardzelashvili
signed a memorandum of cooperation to ensure a healthy life style among
the youth. Within the frame of this memorandum, all acting sport
federations throughout Georgia will be held accountable to enhance a
performance of schoolchildren in sport at schools, develop and
popularize various types of sports.

The President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili opened a new school in the
village of Tazrisi, Borjomi Rayon. As the President stated, the school
rehabilitation and upgrading the school infrastructure is one of the
priorities of the education reform. In this regard, intensive works are
being undertaken in every region of Georgia.
