Following spring holidays, the infection rate of students, teachers and school administration at schools remains low, even though the format of distance learning has been reduced across the country.

Nunu Mitskevichi, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, together with Beka Peradze, Head of the Labor Inspection Service, got acquainted with the measures taken to prevent the virus at Georgian National and Sokhumi Universities and received relevant information about the innovations introduced in universities.

With the support of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia and the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), the Infrastructure Builders Association (ICCA) held an online event: Public-Private Dialogue - Vocational Education in Construction: Cooperation and Development Perspectives and an Online Employment Forum.

As part of the Vocational Education Reform, a tripartite memorandum was signed between the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, the Association of Human Resource Management Professionals, and the Centre for Institutional and Capacity Development (ICDC).

Compulsory systematic testing of teachers and administrative staff continues at public and private schools in Tbilisi and the regions, based on the protocol jointly developed by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport and the Ministry of Health of Georgia.

After the spring break, on March 15, the process of learning in public schools will be resumed in a safe environment. Mandatory systematic testing of teachers and administrative staff in educational institutions is underway to prevent the further spread of the virus.

The Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, Mikheil Chkhenkeli held an online meeting with Krista Pikkat, Director of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Cluster Office. During the meeting, the parties discussed ways to expand the existing cooperation.
