From today, February 15, the educational process in 369 public and private schools in Tbilisi, Kutaisi and Rustavi continued in classrooms, where a safe educational environment is provided for students.

During the pandemic, for the first time throughout the country, studies were resumed in classrooms. The Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, Mikheil Chkhenkeli personally congratulated the students, teachers, school administration and parents on the resumption of studies and wished them academic success.

From February 15, the educational process in Tbilisi, Rustavi and Kutaisi schools continues in classrooms. Ekaterine Dgebuadze, First Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, together with Gela Geladze, Head of the Resource Officer Service of the educational institution, visited 155th, 142nd  and 159th  public schools in Tbilisi on the day to personally inspect the schools.

To prevent the spread of Covid-19, owing to the decision of the Coordinating Council, from the beginning of February, mandatory testing of teachers and school administration representatives in public and private schools throughout Georgia is underway. After 2 weeks of intensive testing, 0.5% of Covid-19 teachers and school staff across the country were confirmed.

Organized by the LEPL Educational and Scientific Infrastructure Development Agency of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, all public schools in Georgia are equipped with the necessary resources for virus prevention. Schools have adequate supplies for the entire school year.
