Leri Khabelov will head the Georgian National Olympic Committee for the next 4 years. Leri Khabelov, who has headed the Olympic Committee since 2012, was elected president for a third term at a specially organized session today. The composition of the executive committee was also approved at the executive committee.

An active work continues on the concept of the National Agency for Vocational Skills to strengthen public-private partnerships in vocational education in Georgia. Tamar Kitiashvili, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia together with Giorgi Pertaia, President of the Chamber of Commerce held a workshop with the heads of business support organizations.

Georgian rugby team will play in Eight Nations rugby tournament (Autumn Cup) scheduled from November 13 to December 6. Today, this information was officially confirmed by the organizers of the Six Nations and the relevant news was published on the official website of the tournament (https://www.sixnationsrugby.com).

Shalva Gogoladze, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Georgia believes that the participation of the national rugby team in the prestigious international tournament - "8 Nations" will be a historic decision, as for the first time Georgia will be given the opportunity to compete in such a high-ranking tournament.

Applications for accredited undergraduate, integrated bachelor's, teacher training, integrated veterinary, certified medical / dental education programs have been launched to fund students through state education grants. Nunu Mitskevichi, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia held a briefing on the topic and introduced the conditions of the program to the general public.

An online workshop for the Board of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions authorized in Georgia was held under the chairmanship of the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, Mikheil Chkhenkeli. The start of the new academic year was discussed at the meeting, followed by discussing the recommendations developed and approved by the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia.
