Georgian students will compete in the 31st International Biology Olympiad (IBO 2020). This year the Olympics will be held in Japan and students from 80 countries will participate, however, due to the ongoing pandemic caused by COVID-19, theoretical and practical tours of the Olympics for Georgian students will be held remotely.

The Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, Mikheil Chkhenkeli visited the Aleksandre Tsutsunava Professional State Drama Theater in Ozurgeti and inspected the newly renovated building. The Minister congratulated the theater's artistic director, and cast members on the renovated building, wishing it success and creative advancement.

A celebratory event dedicated to Anzor Erkomaishvili’s 80th birthday was held in Ozurgeti. Mr. Erkomaishvili is a world famous singer, composier, researcher and a publisher of Georgian records for various archives around the world, and at the same time, the founder of popular Georgian ensembles – “Rustavi” and “Martve”.

With the support of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, after several years of restoration work, the Apolon Kutateladze Art Academy in Tbilisi has returned to its original appearance. The renovated Art Academy will receive students from the new academic year.

12 years have passed since the start of the August 2008 war. The President, the Speaker of the Parliament, the Prime Minister and members of the Cabinet of Ministers laid a wreath at the Mukhatgverdi Brothers Cemetery to commemorate the heroes who died in the August war and paid tribute to the memory of the deceased.

College representatives provided information to interested individuals about the College's vocational programs, as well as the registration process, testing, and further employment opportunities. A two-day seminar was organized by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia and supported by the EU-funded project "Support to Public Administration Reform in Georgia (PAR)" to effectively plan the process of developing the Education and Science Development Strategy 2022-2030.
