The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia continues to work on several important projects to improve the quality of distance learning. Minister Mikheil Chkhenkeli spoke about the ongoing projects in this direction during the presentation of the anti-crisis plan.

The Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, Mikheil Chkhenkeli held a video conference with the Vice President of Microsoft on Education, Anthony Salcito, where the parties discussed plans for future cooperation.

The minister addressed the public and introduced them to the challenges facing the Georgian education system and various mechanisms to solve the obstacles amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

Georgia is launching a new project for the entrants - WebSchool, a tool to further strengthen their knowledge and to help gain new expertise.
A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia and Julich Research Center (FZJ), envisaging the development of long-term cooperation between Georgia and Germany within the Georgian-German Scientific Bridge (GGSB). The memorandum was signed by Minister Mikheil Chkhenkeli, the Center’s Chairman of Board of Directors - Wolfgang Marquardt and the Director - Hans Ströer.
The registration of those who wish to take the Unified National Examinations and the Common Master's Examination, as well as the competence exam designated for the teachers and the student grant competition, has now been completed.
The CAPTAIN: Science is the Captain project, submitted by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, won the grant amounted to EUR 197 500, as established by the European Scholarship and Innovation Framework Program – Horizon 2020, to support the development of science and research.
