Tamar Kitiashvili, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia visited Ozurgeti College "Horizon", where she got acquainted with study laboratories, met with students and received information about the programs and current needs.
Within the visit framework, Tamar Kitiashvili held a meeting with the Governor of Guria, representatives of local self-government and the private sector. The meeting focused on expanding the vocational education network in the region and working closely with local businesses.
At the meeting, the Governor of Guria spoke about the role of the College in the economic development of the region and, together with the representatives of the local authorities, expressed readiness to support the development of Horizon College.
With the support of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, two educational buildings of the College Horizon branch are actively under construction at Chokhatauri Municipality, where programs in agriculture, tourism, hospitality services, recycling and agriculture will be launched. Important infrastructure projects are also being implemented on the premises of Ozurgeti College. By the end of the year, the auxiliary building will be completed, where workshops and laboratories will be functional, tus allowing the college to launch additional vocational programs.
