The deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia – Ekaterine Dgebuadze, together with the head of Educational Police Unit - Gela Geladze and other officials from Psycho-Social Services introduced UNICEF representative - Dr. Ghassan Khalil with the ongoing projects.
The parties discussed future plans of cooperation and the enhancement of relations between the Resource Office of Georgia and UNICEF.
Deputy Head of Resource Services, Nino Shatberashvili, informed Dr. Ghassan Khalil about the progress of the projects and preliminary results implemented by the Resource Officer with the support of UNICEF.
These projects include strengthening the staff of the Psychosocial Center; strengthening psychosocial services and the introduction of "violence-free environment for schools" - a long-term consistent bullying prevention program launched by Resource Officers in pilot schools last spring.
