With the support of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia and organized by the International Institute of Gastronomy, Culture, Arts and Tourism, the webinar "Strategies for Restoring the Tourism Sector in the Post-Covid 19 Era" was held.
Levan Kharatishvili, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports took part in the webinar and addressed the participants. According to the Deputy Minister, seminars of a similar format will be planned in the future.
The webinar was chaired by Dr. Diana Dodd, President of the International Institute of Gastronomy, Culture, Arts and Tourism. Dr. Dodd spoke at length about the strategy for the development of gastronomic tourism in the post-pandemic period, the new opportunities for the development of the restaurant and gastronomic business.
Additionally, the conversation on the webinar also discussed the prospects for the development of local tourism and the various opportunities to offer safe services to the incoming tourists.
Webinar was attended by about 40 participants: including organizations and professionals operating in Georgia’s tourism sector, as well as in other areas of gastronomy, hospitality and other service-related industries.
The webinar ended with the question-answer format.
