Due to the unforeseen circumstances in the country, LEPL Zakaria Paliashvili Central Music School – “Decade of Talents”, announces an electronic intake of entrance exam applications for the 2020-2021 academic year.
Students of 2020-2021 academic year will be admitted to the following faculties:
- Piano;
- Stringed instruments (violin, viola, cello, double bass);
- Classical guitar;
- Wind instruments (wood and metal);
- percussion instruments;
- Jazz art (from IX grade);
- Classical vocals (students up to 17-24 years old);
- Choir-conductor (from IX grade);
How to apply for the competition:
- Applications will be accepted by e-mail from May 20 until June 10, 2020. Please send your applications on the following email: nichiertaatwledi@yahoo.com;
- Application documents will be submitted within the given deadline in two stages:
1. The completed application form, a photocopy of the student's birth or ID card and a photo (size ¾) must be sent to the specified e-mail;

2. During the entrance exam, the student must submit a copy of all the documents (in printed form) that have already been sent to the school's e-mail address to the special commission;
Terms of entrance exams:
- The music school will only accept students who are gifted with special musical abilities, and will be evaluated by a special commission, composed of specialists in the relevant field.
- Students from the age of 6-7 will be admitted to the entrance exam (the age of the entrants in the first grade should not exceed 8 years);
- The entrance exam for students entering the first grade will evaluate the candidates’ musical hearing, memory (the student should be able to break simple intervals and chords and sing, repeat the unknown melody), rhythm (repeat the given rhythm with clapping), and the student should perform a famous song without any guidance;
- Grades II-X will admit the students who successfully pass the exam in the respective specialty. The following must be performed: 1. Polyphony 2. Sonata, variations, or Rondo, 3. Etude 4. Free forms
- Applicants under the age of 17-24 will be admitted to the Classical Vocal Department and will have to submit one vocalization or free variation performance for the entrance exam.
