UNICEF Georgia praises reforms enforced under the leadership of Mikheil Chkhenkeli focusing on children and the youth in the field of education

UNICEF Georgia Representative, Ghassan Khalil sent an open letter to the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, Mikheil Chkhenkeli, in which she praised reforms enforced by the minister. 
Additionally, the letter thanked Mikheil Chkhenkeli for his long-term fruitful cooperation with the United Nations Children's Fund and congratulated him on the success of the Ministry's efforts to ensure a continuous education process during the pandemic.

"Mr. Minister, first, allow me to express my gratitude to the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport for the continuous and fruitful cooperation. We highly appreciate your reforms agenda in the field of education, which heavily focuses on children and the youth in your country.

Also, allow me to take the opportunity and sincerely congratulate you on the success your Ministry has achieved under your leadership in overcoming the challenges, during the unprecedented crisis caused by COVID-19. It is very impressive to witness, how the country uses a variety of tools to ensure the continuous provision of education.

I would like to express my respect and confirm the readiness of the United Nations Children’s Fund to fully continue its support”. Reads the letter from the UNICEF representative, Ghassan Khalil.
