Minister of Education and Science, Dimitri Shashkini hold a working meeting on the school infrastructure improvement with businessmen and the Heads of banks.

Dimitri Shashkini presented the school canteen refurbishment project  to the Heads and the representatives of the banks: TBC Bank, Bank of Georgia, VTB Bank, Procredit Bank, Republic Bank, TaoPrivate Bank, Liberty Bank and companies: Magticom, Bilain, Geocell, Coca-Cola, Populi, Goodwill, Megafood, “Gogli-Mogli”, GMC Group, Ioli, Gmart. The project is represented in the scope of Safe and Healthy School concept that was initiated by the President.

School canteens of Tbilisi Public Schools №55 and №43 have been already refurbished in compliance with modern standards with the support of “Gogli-Mogli” and TaoPrivat Bank. This project will be launched in 88 schools at the first level from the next academic year. In order to refurbish school canteens, bidding is announced. Any company will be able to take participation and make contribution in the school infrastructure improvement.

School canteens will offer the school children fresh and healthy food. Cash will be abolished in school environment and the school children will be able to buy food with credit cards.
