To support the development of professional sports, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport and the Ministry of IDPs from the Occupied Territories, Labor, Health and Social Affairs developed a temporary protocol for the athletes.
Sports federations and organizations should strictly adhere to safety norms when organizing training and competitions and be guided by the developed recommendations, which include disinfection, compulsory quarantine, observance of hygienic norms, and many more.
According to the developed recommendations, exceptions will be allowed considering the specifics of the sport, which is related to the form of contact and non-contact training / exercise.
In the case of contact sports, athletes are required to maintain a distance of less than 2 meters. These sports are as follows: judo, wrestling, sambo, boxing, karate, contact karate, arm wrestling, football, rugby, basketball, rowing, taekwondo, figure skating (in pairs), water polo, handball, kickboxing, fencing, etc.
In the case of non-contact sports, athletes must maintain a distance of more than 2 meters. These types of sports are as follows: canoeing, archery, motor sports, weightlifting, gymnastics, tennis, chess, fencing, archery, figure skating (individual), shooting, equestrian sports, table tennis, cycling, athletics, and motorsport.
