I am pleased that students living in the region will continue to study in a well-equipped, adapted, and modern schools. The Innovation Center will enable young people to deepen their knowledge in the field of research and technology. Similar projects will continue throughout Georgia in the future, as caring for our students and their education is a strategic priority of our government.”
Maia Tskitishvili: “The regulation of school infrastructure is continually active throughout Georgia. Since 2019, the Municipal Development Fund and the Ministry of Infrastructure have been involved in this process. Currently, there are new schools being built worth about 220 million GEL and the existing schools being renovated. At this stage, there are seven new schools being built in Kakheti region. One of them is a school for 90 children in the village of Bodbe. Due to the ruined infrastructure, the children had to walk to the neighboring villages, but after the the opening of the new school, these students will continue their studies in their own home village.
It is important that we have planned to build 59 new schools and renovate 85 across all municipalities throughout Georgia. Please note, that the government plans to complete 20 schools by September. By the end of the year, the construction of schools for 4170 will be completed.
Naturally, the new school infrastructure is an integral part of the education reform that our government is implementing. Also, technology parks and innovative centers are being built for young people. Such premises will be arranged in Gurjaani."
Moreover, a construction of the public school in the village of Bodbe, Sighnaghi Municipality, will be completed by October 2020. The building is designed for 90 students and is in full compliance with the modern European standards.
