All public schools will have the opportunity to create additional spots for first grade students for the 2020-2021 academic year, as agreed with the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia. During the third stage of registration, the number of contingents to be admitted for the 2020-2021 academic year will increase to 80 public schools, in the following cities: Tbilisi, Batumi, Kutaisi, Rustavi, Kobuleti, Ozurgeti and Khashuri. The information regarding any free spots available will be published on the following website: catalog.edu.ge from June 22. Registration for additional positions will be possible from 12:00 on June 23, through the registration link: registration.emis.ge.
Initially, the number of spots defined for first grade students at public schools was much higher than the number of registered individuals. Nevertheless, upon the launch of the registration, some public schools experienced an overwhelming expiry of the admission limit.
Consequently, public school administration, have taken into account the demand of the citizens and, in agreement with the Ministry, have increased the number of spots available. As part of the universal electronic registration, citizens now have the opportunity to sign up first-grade students to any available position from June 23 to June 25, 2020.
The deadline for submitting student documentation who registered for the 3rd stage is July 5. If the necessary documents are not submitted within the set deadlines, the registration will be automatically canceled.
There is a new system for business correspondence, according to which parents can now send applications electronically with any relevant documentation attached, or submit them to the school administration in person, in accordance with the rules of safety established by the school; The school will confirm the receipt of the application via email.
If all the required documents are submitted electronically, the school will not request the documents in person and will confirm the enrollment of the student within the timeframe as established by the legislation.
