A new vocational school is being built in the city of Marneuli. The project is implemented with the financial support of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia and the active involvement of local self-government.
Tamar Kitiashvili, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, got acquainted with the construction works together with Shota Rekhviashvili, State Representative in Kvemo Kartli.
At this stage, there is only one state vocational institution in Kvemo Kartli, located in the city of Rustavi. However, from Autumn 2020, Marneuli will have its modern, and brand-new vocational college, which will significantly increase access to vocational education in the region and amplify the employment rates.
The modern standard building is fully adapted to the needs of people with special needs, will have a conference hall, a library, an elevator, and adapted bathrooms. The building will be equipped with appropriate modern equipment, central heating, cooling, and ventilation system. In addition to the training building, there will be a college garden and an open sports field.
The college, built according to the modern standards, will implement vocational education and training programs related to agriculture, taking into account the needs of Marneuli and its neighboring municipalities. In addition, dual programs will be introduced with the involvement of local businesses.
