Minister of Education and Science, Dimitri Shashkini introduced already implemented and planned innovations of MES to the journalists.

Minister spoke about New National Curriculum, planned amendments in the law on education, English Language and IT learning strengthening programs, school construction and rehabilitation, introducing new electronic portal in the educational process and etc.

Development of above mentioned innovations will be implemented within Ministry’s economized budget of 25mln.

Meeting was held in Q/A format. Minister personally answered journalists’ questions.

In the framework of the event, representatives of National Examination Center introduced planned innovations in 2010 Unified Entry Exams to the journalists. Particular interest was expressed in teachers’ certification exams. Exactly this center will organize the certification exams.

Informational meeting was supported by UNICEF. It was designed to increase transparency of educational reform and to discuss this reform publicly.
