Tamar Kitiashvili, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, and Zviad Shalamberidze, State Representative in Imereti, visited Kutaisi Vocational College "Iberia", and handed over letters of appreciation and gifts to students and faculty members, who are involved in the process of sewing protective face masks.
In the world of coronavirus pandemic, where the demand for protective masks are particularly high, several vocational colleges became involved in the production of such products.
With the active support of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports and the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, Kutaisi Iberia vocational college so far produced about 40,000 protective masks. The process of producing masks in colleges are carried out in full compliance with the recommendations provided by healthcare experts and World Health Organization.
"Iberia" is a multidisciplinary vocational education institution, which offers young people and adults, vocations tailored to the needs of the region in the fields such as electricity, information technology, sewing, cooking, restaurant services, accounting, and other areas.
