The Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, Tamar Kitiashvili, within the framework of her visit to Western Georgia, together with the Minister of Education, Culture and Sports of Adjara, Maia Khajishvili and the representatives of the Department of Tourism and Resorts of Adjara visited and held meetings with large local businesses who are actively collaborating with the vocational college.

The involvement of big employers in the region to maintain and refine the vocational education is growing.

Black Sea College started its vocational training and retraining program in tourism, construction, and textiles back 2019, and a year later, it was able to implement 19 training programs with the involvement of the region's largest employers.

The meeting with the deputy minister was attended by representatives of large private companies in the field of tourism, construction, and textiles in the region, such as company "Anagi", Hilton Batumi, Marani Wine Restaurant, Elstar Ltd. and Fast Trek Textile Ltd. The parties focused on summarizinf the one-year cooperation, whilst discussing the existing challenges and possibilities of future cooperation.

The Deputy Minister thanked the representatives of the private sector for their efforts and noted that the vocational education system is ready to continue intensive work with the private sector, both in terms of training programs and other partnership opportunities.

Since Tamar Kitiashvili's visit to the region coincided with the registration period for vocational programs, she personally guided the applicants to the college during the Open Days and talked about the opportunities offered by the vocational education system.

Dialogue with business continues within the framework of public-private partnership.
