Prior to the unified vocational testing, the internal selection process at vocational education institutions are coming to an end. Due to the changes in the rules and regulations regarding the enrollment in vocational programs, for the first time this year, the admission procedure was carried out in two ways.
Vocational programs, where the number of registered applicants does not exceed the number of spots available, the applicants no longer pass the testing organized by the National Center for Assessment and Examinations and only participate in the internal selection process organized by the college / university.
Depending on the specifics of the vocation, the method of internal selection is different. In most cases, vocational education institutions use methods such as: interview, vocational examination, portfolio, etc.
As vocational education institutions conduct internal selection for the first time this year, Tamar Kitiashvili, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, got acquainted with the process at Ilia Tsinamdzgvrishvili College, where she met the applicants and listened to their experience regarding the internal selection.
Please note, individuals wishing to enroll for those vocational programs where the number of registered applicants exceeds the number of available spots, the testing will be held on September 5 through September 6. Until then, all applicants will be able to take an online mock examinations without leaving the comfort of their home, the link to which will be posted on the website of the National Center for Assessment and Examinations - www.naec.ge.
