The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, together with the Writers' House, announces a literary competition - "Litera for Translators".
The prize is awarded in 4 nominations:
- Best Young Translator (prose, poetry; age limit - 35);
- Best prose translation (novel, collection of short stories);
- The best translation in the humanitarian-scientific and scientific-popular literature (philology, psychology, sociology);
- David Tserediani Award for the special contribution to translation activities.
The translation competition "Litera for Translators" was established in 2020 with the support of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, owing to the initiative of the Writers' House. Its main objective is to promote and stimulate translation-related activities.
The winner of each nomination will receive a cash prize of GEL 5,000 and a special award.
The application deadline is September 15, 2020.
