Imitated Lesson in Emergency

First Deputy Minister of Education and Science, Akaki Seperteladze attended the training process of the teachers of civil defence and safety in Public School №24. Instructors of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Defence and Tbilisi State Medical University presented the imitated lesson in emergency.

2,240 teachers of 12th grades of all regions of Georgia will pass training in civil defence and safety from July 12 until August 25.

MES is going to introduce civil defence and safety lesson at general educational institutions from September of the current year.

New program that was initiated by the President of Georgia, envisages three modules: Civil Defence and Safety, initial military training and first aid.  

Foreign experts, representatives of Tbilisi State Medical University, Ministry of Environment Protection and Natural Resources, Ministry of Labour, Health and Social Affairs, as well as Ministry of Defence, Emergency Situation Management Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs participated in the development of material together with the National Curriculum and Assessment Center of MES.

Each of these modules will be delivered by the representatives of appropriate agency. Participants will be given practical lessons. Summarizing lesson will be held at the end of the training in order to reveal the received knowledge.

Additional course is planned for the teachers of 4th and 8th forms in the future. Refurbishing the class room and equipping it with relevant technologies is underway in parallel. Above mentioned program was piloted in Rustavi, Mtskheta and Tbilisi 15 schools in the previous academic year.
