Tamar Kitiashvili, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia visited Samtskhe-Javakheti region to get acquainted with the ongoing infrastructure projects and educational process in the field of vocational education. The Deputy Minister got acquainted with the ongoing renovation works in the third building of Samtskhe-Javakheti State University, located in the city of Akhalkalaki. The building, where only students of vocational education programs study, is being completely renovated.
Upon completion of the renovation process, this educational institution will meet all modern standards, will be fully adapted for individuals with disabilitie. Moreover, the school will also be equipped with modern labs, training auditriums, a modern library and a conference hall.
The upgraded school for 200 students will offer education and training programs for young people and adults in customs, border management, railway, agriculture, and other priority areas, considering the needs of Akhalkalaki and other municipalities in the region.
