The building of the Georgian Folk Song and Dance State Academic Ensemble "Rustavi" has been completely rehabilitated

With the support of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, the building of the ensemble "Rustavi" and its structural unit - the Academy of Arts "Martve" was completely renovated.

Within the framework of renovation effort, the partial reinforcement works of the building were carried out; Three rehearsal halls, the central staircase, the spaces around the hall the backstage, the sound recording studio and the dressing rooms were renovated. Additionally, the exterior, corridors and other important roms were completely renovated. Fire safety system was installed throughout the building premises amd drainage was arranged on the perimeter. Audio sound was installed in the main concert hall, and necessary internal heating-ventilation installation was completed. The building is fully adapted for people with disabilities.

The large-scale renovation of the cultural heritage monument located inside the Arto Garden has not been carried out for more than 15 years.

People's Artist of Georgia, Anzor Erkomaishvili is the founder and artistic director of the Georgian State Academic Ensemble of Georgian Folk Song and Dance "Rustavi". The dancers are led by famous choreographer Pridon Sulaberidze. The ensemble has performed more than 7000 concerts in 80 countries around the world. He has received numerous awards and state awards. Additionally, "Rustavi" has recorded and released more than 800 Georgian folk songs.
