To prevent  the further dissemination of the novel COVID-19 virus, owing to the decision of the Interagency Council, Between November 4-25, distance learning will strictly remain in place for the following cities: Tbilisi, Rustavi, Kutaisi, Zugdidi, Telavi, Zestaponi, Gori, Gardabani, Poti and Marneuli. The learning process is also carried out remotely in the region of Adjara.

The decision was made due to the prolonged election process and to reduce mobilty in big metropolitan areas. As the second round of elections will be held on November 21, hundreds of schools will still be used as polling stations.

Furthermore, higher education institutions and vocational schools will continue the educational process as before. However, universities will conduct practical and laboratory works in person, in rigid compliance with the recommendations issued by the Ministry of Health.

Higher education institutions operating on the territory of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara continue the educational process remotely.
