Minister of Education and Science, Dimitri Shashkini visited Tbilisi Public School №92 and got familiarized with the educational-cognitive and didactic literature that was donated to the school library by the President of Education Professional Syndicate, Tato Shavshishvili. Different subject matter teachers who know foreign language as well as interested schoolchildren in natural sciences will become interested in the unique highly polygraphic books.
Refurbishing of the school libraries is initiated by the President and is one of the priorities of the Ministry. Education Professional Syndicate was one of the firsts who responded to this initiative of supplying the public school libraries with the literature and textbooks.
Renovating of the school infrastructure is underway during the summer holidays. School libraries will be intensively supplied with the books from the new academic year. MES thanks all organizations and people for the support.
MES supports the school libraries with the literature as well as textbooks and educational materials. For the first time this year, 8mln GEL is allocated for supporting all vulnerable first graders with the textbooks. Besides, school libraries will be supplied with the secondary textbooks and all schoolchildren will be able to use them.
In the new academic year Education Professional Syndicate plans to refurbish Pedagogic Library in one of the public schools that will be in compliance with modern standards. Analogue of this library does not exist neither in Georgia nor in other post Soviet countries. Libraries will be supported with the literature of the different directions and content, tests and additional material for the teachers.
All teachers of Georgia will be able to use the service of Pedagogic Library. They will have an opportunity to take the books home for a period as well as attend the seminars, trainings and consultations in the reading hall of the library. The library will be supported with the pedagogic literature of European and foreign authors together with the books of Georgian authors.
