Compulsory systematic testing of teachers and administrative staff continues in public and private schools across the country.
Testing of teacher and school administrative staff has already been conducted in the 186th public mega-school, where part of the teachers and administrative staff underwent PCR testing, while the rest of the staff underwent the so called quick testing.
Mandatory systematic PCR testing of at least 20% of all schoolteachers and administrative staff is being actively conducted across the country, while the rest of the staff are being screened for a quick-test check. The testing is based on a protocol developed with the Ministry of Health; and the process is fully funded by the state.
To provide mandatory testing, the school administration registers all employees on the following portal: https://labour.moh.gov.ge, whereas the process of testing staff by medical laboratories is carried out with the involvement of the Department of Labor Inspection.
