As a result of intensive monitoring and mandatory testing, 0.1% of teachers and school administration personnel and 0.03% of the total number of students were confirmed Covid-positive nationwide this week.
At the request of parents, a total of 11 schools and 109 separate grades were switched to full-distance mode across Georgia this week.

Furthermore, a new form of monitoring has been approved for general education institutions. The monitoring of the school environment will be carried out in this precise way. In particular, resource officers, staff from the Department of Preschool, General Education and Administration will also be involved in the monitoring process.
In case the virus is detected, point restrictions will still apply to schools and will act in accordance with the protocol created by the Ministry of Health.
