The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia continues the monitoring process in higher education institutions. Deputy Minister Nunu Mitskevichi, together with Beka Peradze, Head of the Labour Inspection Service of the LEPL, this time, visited Caucasus University and Petre Shotadze Tbilisi Medical Academy and assessed the measures taken to prevent the spread of the virus.

Furthermore, Nunu Mitskevichi noted that private higher education institutions have all the necessary resources for virus prevention and the examination process is carried out in compliance with safety standards. Consequently, both universities are ready to fully restore the educational process. Additionally, the deputy minister noted that, higher education institutions had successfully overcome the challenges posed by the pandemic and were able to organize the mixed learning process properly in a short period of time.

The Deputy Minister also emphasized the importance of informing students about the continuation of the educational process in auditoriums. As she noted, higher education institutions are in active communication with students and provide them with all the necessary information on what measures are being taken in response to the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic, both in terms of organizing the educational process and enforcing sanitary norms at the university.

Please note, that from March 15, owing to the decision of the Coordinating Council, universities will be able to fully resume their educational activities in auditoriums.

Visits to universities to monitor the safe environment by the Ministry as well as by the Labour Inspection Service continue on a systematic basis throughout the country.
