The
Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia continues the
monitoring process in higher education institutions. Deputy Minister Nunu
Mitskevichi, together with Beka Peradze, Head of the Labour Inspection Service
of the LEPL, this time, visited Caucasus University and Petre Shotadze Tbilisi
Medical Academy and assessed the measures taken to prevent the spread of the
virus.
Furthermore,
Nunu Mitskevichi noted that private higher education institutions have all the
necessary resources for virus prevention and the examination process is carried
out in compliance with safety standards. Consequently, both universities are
ready to fully restore the educational process. Additionally, the deputy
minister noted that, higher education institutions had successfully overcome
the challenges posed by the pandemic and were able to organize the mixed
learning process properly in a short period of time.
The Deputy
Minister also emphasized the importance of informing students about the
continuation of the educational process in auditoriums. As she noted, higher
education institutions are in active communication with students and provide
them with all the necessary information on what measures are being taken in
response to the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic, both in terms of
organizing the educational process and enforcing sanitary norms at the
university.
Please
note, that from March 15, owing to the decision of the Coordinating Council,
universities will be able to fully resume their educational activities in
auditoriums.
Visits to universities to monitor
the safe environment by the Ministry as well as by the Labour Inspection
Service continue on a systematic basis throughout the country.
