To popularize science, state grant competitions were announced at the Shota Rustaveli Georgian National Science Foundation of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia. The main task of these competitions is to raise public awareness about the role of science, its goals and importance, which essentially is one of the priorities of the Foundation.
Among the announced competitions is a grant competition for the support of scientific projects studying the border regions of Georgia and international scientific events. The deadline for electronic registration for the project is April 20, 2021.
Moreover, another competition was also announced to support scientific research projects regarding the study of the occupied territories of Georgia. Interested applicants must register for the project by May 18th, 2021.
Furthermore, applications are being received for the 2021 State Publishing Scientific Grants Competition, which aims to facilitate the selection and publication of outstanding quality scientific papers. The deadline for electronic registration is March 25, 2021.
The Leonardo da Vinci competition was also announced for student inventors and researchers, with the aim of popularizing science amongst the youth, young students, whilst stimulating their interest in innovation and technology. Projects can be submitted until April 8, 2021.
Please note that, the registration deadline for a targeted grant competition is until April 25, 2021.
This year, for the first time, a grant competition for the promotion of scientific research projects in the field of Caucasology and international scientific events was announced. The deadline to apply for the newly announced competition is April 8.
