Cooperation in the field of education between Georgia and Hungary is expanding twofold. Mikheil Chkhenkeli, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, and Peter Siarto, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, signed two memoranda of understanding in the field of education. The cooperation aims to promote the internationalization of higher education and enhance the existing cooperation in the fields of education, science and technology.
Moreover, the document aims to develop and strengthen the internationalization strategy, policies and practices between the two countries. Within the framework of the memorandum, programs and projects will be managed by the International Education Centre (IEC) from Georgia and the Tempus Public Fund from Hungary.
Furthermore, the second memorandum envisages enhancing the cooperation in the field of science and technology. Joint conferences, seminars and workshops will be held, where knowledge and the latest information will be exchanged.
Mikheil Chkhenkeli thanked the Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, who is paying an official visit to Georgia, on behalf of the Ministry for the fruitful cooperation. The parties expressed hope that the cooperation between the two countries will become even more diverse in the future.
