The construction of a new educational building on the premises of Shota Meskhia Zugdidi State Teaching University is in an active phase. The building of modern standards for 250 vocational students will accept first-year students in vocational programs in the fields of information technology, healthcare, education and business administration.
The study rooms and auditoriums will be equipped with the latest equipment and apparatus. All programs will be provided with the necessary infrastructure for training. The project was funded from the state budget and its cost is GEL 1, 700,000.
Tamar Kitiashvili, Deputy Minister of Education and Science got acquainted with the ongoing construction works, together with Nino Vibliani, Deputy Governor of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti and Gega Shengelia, Mayor of the city.
Shota Meskhia Zugdidi State Teaching University is the largest provider of vocational education in the region, combining the educational bases of Zugdidi and Senaki. At both bases, more than 350 students master the vocations of agriculture, healthcare, information technology, construction, business administration, journalism, education and more. The University also offers students dual and short-term training programs.
